About the 2025 Needs and Impact Assessment

The 2025 Needs and Impact Assessment looked at:

  • the current needs in the community
  • how well existing supports and initiatives are working


The assessment was led by the Office of Addictions and Mental Health (OAMH) with Davis Pier Consulting. It was done in partnership with Nova Scotia Health, IWK, government departments, and community organizations.


At its core, this work reflects the voices and experiences of community members. It shares what people are going through and what they think should happen next.


How the 2025 Needs and Impact Assessment can be Used

The 2025 Needs and Impact Assessment is a tool for:

  • all levels of government
  • organizations, and
  • community

It can guide decisions, programs, and policies. It also highlights what is already working and where gaps still exist.
