As Nova Scotia transitions to a provincial electronic medical record (OPOR), the IWK Drug Information team is reviewing and revising their pediatric drug dosing guidelines and parenteral drug information resources. These tools were originally designed to support safe and effective care for children at the IWK, however these resources have become the standard of care for medication delivery in hospitals outside of the IWK, including those that primarily serve adult patients. We’re asking front-line health care providers like you to share your experiences using these resources—what works well, what challenges you face, and how we can make these resources more useful in your practice setting. Your input will directly guide improvements to ensure these materials better meet the needs of teams providing pediatric care across the Maritimes.
