Welcome

Welcome to Engage4Health!

Engagement with Nova Scotians is part of Nova Scotia Health Authority's mandate, and it is a priority for us. It enables dialogue with the public, with patients and families, and with our many partners and stakeholders. It creates opportunities for important conversations, opportunities for learning, and lays the foundation for a stronger relationship between Nova Scotians and their health system.

This on-line space will help you connect to conversations and consultations we are hosting. It is a place for information sharing, gathering ideas and feedback, and especially, for making connections.

In time you will be able to look at any number of conversations we are hosting. Simply scroll down this page and you will see a list of all current projects.

For now, we hope you will take the opportunity to get involved in Talk about health. If you are an employee, physician, learner or volunteer with NSHA, we hope you will join your colleagues for this conversation.

Once registered, you’ll be able to join in the discussions at your convenience. Registration is simple. All you need is a valid email address and to select a password and you're in.

If you have a question, send us an email. You can also leave a general comment in our guestbook (scroll down).

We thank you for participating.

How do we create a healthier future for Nova Scotians?

Most people understand that being healthy is more than not being sick. We know many things influence our health — income, education, housing, where we live, lifestyle and much more. We believe people want to be healthier.

What does this look like for us as individuals, communities, and as a province?

Take a look around our site, read through the information to learn more about the state of health in Nova Scotia, and consider participating in current conversations as part of this new Public Engagement initiative.

We invite you to take a look at all the different ways you can Talk about health.

Nova Scotia is spending more and more money on health care, but we aren’t getting any healthier. How do we create a healthier future for Nova Scotians? It’s time to Talk about health.

One of NSHA’s strategic priorities is to engage Nova Scotians to create a healthier future. That’s what our public engagement strategy, Talk about health, is all about.

In the months and years to come, Nova Scotia Health Authority will be hosting formal and informal conversations about health – both in person and online. We need you - our employees, physicians, learners and volunteers - to join us in leading and hosting these conversations.

As NSHA employees, physicians, learners and volunteers, you have unique perspectives because of your direct experience with and contributions to the health system. That’s why we’ve created an area of our engagement website specifically for you. To share your thoughts and ideas on this forum, register using your NSHA email address.

Please take some time to review the documents we have on this site before completing the survey.

Thank you for taking the time to visit the site and adding your voice to this important conversation.
